A small deer and her cub adorn the front of the clock, alongside a quaint clock peddler that moves across the clock every time the cuckoo calls on the half and full hour. Uniquely decorated metal pinecones hang from the bottom and complete the counterweight system of the design.

Anton Schneider began producing cuckoo clocks in 1848 in his farmhouse in Schonach.
